About Viola
From Costa Rica to New York: A Journey Begins
I was born in Costa Rica, a country with deep democratic values and rich Spanish culture. When I was 18, with a heart full of dreams, I moved to the bustling city of New York. There, I began my studies in Education at City College.
I moved to Georgia, attending Clayton University for a time, always eager to learn and grow. In 1978, my path led me to South Florida, where I continued my education at Miami Dade College. I explored Psychology and Aviation there, even earning a student pilot's license, and later pursued courses in Psychology and Business at FIU.
Viola takes flight: my time at united airlines
My professional life took off when I joined United Airlines. For nearly three decades, I had the privilege of traveling the world, experiencing diverse cultures, and meeting incredible people. This broadened my horizons and deepened my understanding of humanity.
Parallel to my aviation career, I nurtured my entrepreneurial spirit, running my own businesses and excelling in network marketing. I built and led teams of up to 5,000 people, honing my leadership and teamwork skills.
Community Commitment: Serving Tamarac
Community service has always been close to my heart. Serving on Tamarac's planning board has allowed me to contribute to responsible development and community planning. My long career in real estate has given me a deep understanding of our local economy and housing market.
I’m passionate about bringing fresh energy and a new perspective to Tamarac. That’s why I’m running on leadership, integrity, and unity. Join me in creating a district that thrives on collaboration and paves the way for a brighter Tamarac.
